Day 1 – Enjoying Songkran Festival in Hua Hin, Thailand (Apr’25)

In April 2025, I embarked on a 4-day journey to Hua Hin, Phetchaburi, and Pranburi to immerse myself in the vibrant Songkran Festival. This traditional Thai New Year celebration, held annually from April 13 to 15, is renowned for its water-splashing festivities symbolizing purification and renewal

A Culinary Start at Chom Cafe

Our adventure began with a delightful lunch at Chom Cafe and Restaurant in Hua Hin. The serene ambiance and delectable Thai cuisine provided the perfect prelude to the day’s festivities.

Diving into the Festivities

Post-lunch, we headed to Hua Hin’s Walking Street, the epicenter of Songkran celebrations. The atmosphere was electric, with locals and tourists engaging in friendly water fights, laughter echoing through the streets. Armed with water guns and buckets, everyone participated in the joyous tradition, embodying the festival’s spirit of unity and cleansing.
