My Walking Story :

Today I am going to tell you how I spent my day fifth in Vietnam- Dalat City. As I have informed in my previous stories I wake up late in the morning and till 12 in the afternoon, I start my trip.

As usual in the morning I had my breakfast at Robins Villa, the breakfast was really tasty that made my morning, as it is said that Good food keeps you in a good mood!

I had a yummy pancake, bread, toast, omelets, and veggies, along with coffee in the breakfast one can check the photos of breakfast, rooms, and cute puppies which I have posted. So one can get an idea that how friendly the environment was that I loved it.

They have two puppies with whom I like to play. Further, I said David that I have some plans to go out, so he checked the vehicle and filled the air in the tires, this shows that people are very helpful and supportive over here.

Now after being done with all the morning routine the first destination of the day was Linh Phuoc Pagoda. It was around 10 km far away from Robin’s villa, so with the help of Google Maps I reached that place in 30 minutes. I would like to describe this place in detail.

Linh Phuoc Pagoda is one of the remarkable landscapes of Dalat, is an architectural work deeply inspired by Oriental. It was built from 1949 to 1990 the temple was reconstructed with a much more extensive scale, and the design is unique collection faience. The contrast of Linh Phuoc Pagoda which is the building site of the temple pieces is enameled faience, porcelain, and parts of bottles outside.

At the gate, you will be welcomed by sculptures of flying dragons. There is added 49-meter-long winding dragon at the pond side inside the premise, which has been made of 12,000 collapsed bottles. Inside the main hall is a 5-meter tall Buddha statue, and the ambiance emanates a sense of tranquillity.

There is an exciting ritual for those who want to make a wish. A bell in the temple shows images of four periods as it turns. Turn it to the continuous season’s face and write your wish on a yellow piece of paper and hold it onto the bell. Ring the bell thrice and it is assumed that your wishes will reach Buddha. Even if you have come to the pagoda just to observe its aesthetic beauty, there is nothing wrong with trying your luck.

Furthermore, I roam around and went to the top floor of the pagoda as one has to go through the staircase. I tried to capture every single moment including the staircase and the top side views, even did some shopping as well, and purchased a shawl which was of good quality at a cheap rate. So I was exploring the place and in between having some food as well.

It was 1 pm in the afternoon so the plan was to get back to the City Center from Linh Phuoc Pagoda. At City Center, there is only one mall available over there, so I parked my motorbike and went into the mall and was searching for something interesting for shopping. I had a burger at lunch and spent around 1 to 2 hours of quality time in the mall. Then, I visited a lake named Xuan Huong Lake, which was in front of the mall. As this lake was in the center of the city, one can have a view of the lake from all sides while traveling.

The Xuan Huong Lake is the place where the name Dalat came from and it is also the first Beauty – spot of Lamdong to be recognized as a national–level beauty – spot on November 6th, 1988. The lake is also the place for showing national bicycle racing contests and the place where Lamdong province holds cultural tourist events. At Christmas time every year, cherry – blossoms open around the lake making it so romantic. It is a beautiful lake to walk around with lots happening while still able to see the maximum of it without crossing the street. I did the orbicular walk, around the lake. Some parts were better than others. Street vendors had taken over vast parts of the street to sell plants/flowers for New Year. Raising the danger for walkers. Some parts were ok. Good scenes, and pleasant gardens. While the vendors were selling sweet potatoes, eggs, and hot soya milk by sitting on the red stool. So I was exploring all around while stopping for some snacks and food here and there.

I guess it was 2 pm in the afternoon and I routed towards my next destination that is Valley of Love. When I reached Valley of Love, I saw that the entrance ticket was very expensive. So I thought that it was a huge park and will consume a lot of my time so I didn’t go inside it. I checked out from outside and saw that there was a beautiful gallery beside it. Went ahead to have a look at the pictures, mostly the pictures were of warriors describing wars and their culture. The pictures were made and kept over there for sale. Further, I roam around the gallery, and from there I was thinking about my next destination as it was already 4 pm.

I moved towards Sunny Farm, as I have read about this farm on the internet. This farm is a little far away from the City Center and there were lots of coffee shops there. The moment I visited Sunny Farm, I felt so good and saw a number of coffee shops there.

A unique spot but enjoyable to Photo lovers. The farm is furnished well with some cottages and trees present 4 seasons. Here they have a stairway. Look like you can go to heaven by that stairway. That is a delightful place for imaginative photographers.

I took my coffee and sat at one side of the coffee shop and can enjoy the aerial view of Dalat city. Coincidently I found one Indian and a Thai family, so I had a good conversation with them. I saw a spot made for doggies or can say puppies, and went to play with them. That spot was for pet lovers. I genuinely enjoyed my couple of hours over here and did lots of photography. After spending a good time over here, I went back to Ganesh restaurant for my dinner at 8 pm as I just loved the Indian cuisine of that restaurant.

Then around 10:30 by night left the place and went to my villa and had a tight sleep. I literally enjoyed my whole day and captured a number of photos and made videos as well, do check them on my blog. This was the end of my today’s trip.

Hope you liked it.
