4th July 2020 / I stayed for one night at Windsor Resort in Lopburi, Thailand. The next day our trip continues to Khao Kho.
Outstanding with its Dutch-themed architecture, Windsor Resort is centrally located in Lop Buri – just about 1 km from King Narai’s Palace and Lopburi Railway Station.
4th July 2020 / Walking around Sub Lek Reservoir in Lopburi, Thailand. It is a scenic place with small mountains in the distance and an island in the middle.
Get to the outskirts of Lopburi town and spend some time at the Ang Sub Lek reservoir. Looked at a few places that were situated some floating on the lake and some beside it. The place is relatively deserted during the weekdays so you will have plenty of peace and quiet.
4th July 2020 / Walking around Monkey Temple in Lopburi, Thailand. It is called in the Thai language “Phra Prang Sam Yot”
Despite Lopburi’s significance as an ancient Siam capital, the town would likely fall into obscurity were it not for the monkeys. And by far the most notable historic attraction is Prang Sam Yot an ancient Khmer temple, aka Lopburi Monkey Temple, which is where the monkeys preside. We enjoyed good fun with the monkeys and made a lot of photos. But keep in mind that the monkeys are wild animals and will use their teeth if you try and take back whatever they steal or if they start to slide off you and want to hold on.
