Day 2 – Full Day Phuket Sightseeing & Waiting For New Year Countdown : Thailand (Dec’20)
31st December 2020 / Explored Phuket sightseeing by driving a motorbike. Visited Baan Tlinka, Khao Rang Viewpoint, Wat Chalong, Big Buddha Temple, Kata Noi Beach, Patong Beach, and celebrated new year in Phuket at at Illuzion Phuket.
We already rented a motorbike on the first day. So on the second day after breakfast, our first destination was the
Baan Teelanka – The UpsideDown House of Phuket
but we did not visit inside.
On December 31, 2020, I embarked on an unforgettable New Year’s Eve adventure in Phuket, Thailand. The day was filled with exploration, cultural experiences, and festive celebrations, culminating in a vibrant countdown to welcome the new year.

Morning Exploration
After a hearty breakfast, I set out on a motorbike to explore the island’s attractions. My first stop was Baan Teelanka, the Upside Down House of Phuket. Although I didn’t venture inside, the unique architecture provided a quirky photo opportunity.
Scenic Views and Cultural Sites
Next, I visited Khao Rang Viewpoint, offering panoramic views of Phuket Town and the surrounding landscape. The serene atmosphere provided a peaceful retreat from the bustling city.
Continuing my journey, I explored Wat Chalong, one of Phuket’s most revered temples. The intricate architecture and spiritual ambiance offered a glimpse into the island’s rich cultural heritage.
In the evening, I made my way to the Big Buddha, a monumental statue perched atop Nakkerd Hill. The site provided a tranquil setting to reflect on the year’s experiences as the sun began to set.

As dusk approached, I arrived at Kata Noi Beach. The golden hues of the sunset cast a warm glow over the tranquil waters, creating a picturesque scene to end the day.
Dinner and New Year’s Eve Celebration
For dinner, I dined at Amritsr Indian Restaurant on Patong Beach Road, savoring flavorful dishes that reminded me of home.
As night fell, I joined the lively crowd at Patong Beach to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The atmosphere was electric, with music, dancing, and fireworks lighting up the sky. It was a joyous occasion, marking the end of a memorable day and the beginning of a new year.
