During my visit to Gurudwara Shri Singh Sabha in Phahurat, Bangkok, I experienced a peaceful side of the city that many travelers often miss. Located in Bangkok’s Little India area, this Sikh temple is not only a place of worship but also a beautiful symbol of faith, community, service, and cultural connection in Thailand

Sikh migrants started settling in Bangkok in the late 1800s–early 1900s

First prayers were held in homes, then a rented wooden house (1912–1913)

A permanent temple was built in 1932–1933

It later expanded into the current multi-storey structure

Today, it serves as the spiritual heart of the Sikh community in Thailand.
