My Matsumoto City Japan trip was one of the calmest parts of my journey. Located in Nagano Prefecture, this charming city blends ancient architecture with mountain beauty. I spent the day walking around Matsumoto Castle, exploring its peaceful streets, and soaking in the town’s artistic energy.
My Gero Onsen Town Japan travel experience was calm and refreshing. Known as one of Japan’s top hot spring towns, Gero Onsen offered me a glimpse into local culture, traditional streets, and relaxing onsen baths that felt like a step back in time.
We left Nagoya after breakfast, checking out of our accommodation and heading toward the station. Our train, the JR Hida limited-express, departed at 10:48 a.m. with reserved seats — a welcome comfort as we settled in for the ride. Roughly 1.5 hours later, at 12:27 p.m., we arrived at Gero Station.
