We started our Songkran holiday with a road trip from Bangkok to Chanthaburi, one of Thailand’s charming eastern provinces known for its old town, riverside atmosphere, local food, and historic landmarks. After arriving in Chanthaburi, we checked into Baan Luang Rajamaitri Historic Inn, rented a motorbike, enjoyed lunch and coffee, visited the beautiful Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, and ended the evening with dinner and live music by the riverside.
Visiting Wat Phra Sri Mahathat Wora Maha Wiharn was a quiet and meaningful experience, far away from the usual crowded tourist spots in Bangkok. Located in the Bang Khen district, this temple offers not just spiritual peace but also a deep connection to Thailand’s modern history and identity. Unlike famous temples, this place feels more personal, calm, and authentic.
Saxophone Pub & Restaurant is one of Bangkok’s most iconic live music venues—especially famous for jazz and blues. It’s not a typical nightclub; it’s more of a music-first experience where people come to enjoy live bands in an energetic but authentic setting.
Wat Prayong Kitti Wanaram is one of Bangkok’s lesser-known but very peaceful temples, located near the old city area. It’s not as crowded as the famous temples, which makes it a great place if you want a calm, local experience.
The first four months of 2023 brought many memorable moments in Bangkok. From peaceful morning walks and colorful city streets to local festivals, delicious food, shopping malls, and everyday life, each day added another chapter to my journey in Thailand. 16th June 2021 / I Visited Erawan Museum in Bangkok, Thailand. It is well known for its giant three-headed elephant art display. Location near Erawan BTS station.
Museum is known for its massive 3-headed elephant sculpture, plus cultural & religious artifacts. In the heart of Bangkok’s vibrant landscape lies a hidden gem that seamlessly blends art, history, and spirituality—the Erawan Museum. My half-day trip to this architectural marvel turned out to be a journey into Thai culture and mythology, leaving me awestruck by its beauty and symbolism.
