2nd Nov’22 – Early Morning in Mussoorie on My Birthday

Dalai Hill and Shedup Choephelling Temple
My birthday began with a visit to the serene Dalai Hill, located near the Shedup Choephelling Temple in the Happy Valley. The temple’s peaceful ambiance and the surrounding natural beauty provided a perfect start to the day.
Kempty Falls
Next, I ventured to Kempty Falls, approximately 13 kilometers from Mussoorie. The cascading water amidst lush greenery offered a refreshing experience, making it a popular spot for tourists and locals alike.
Chaar Dukaan and Landour
A stroll through Chaar Dukaan in Landour revealed a quaint area with colonial-era charm. The small shops and the nearby Cafe De Landour, known for its Italian cuisine and live music, added a delightful touch to the visit.
Cafe De Landour – Mussoorie
Italian cuisine can be served here. Here you will be offered tasty pasta, pizza, and chao. Enjoy great coffee. You can listen to live music in the evening. The high ratings of this cafe wouldn’t be possible without the gracious staff. Fine service is something that visitors note in their reviews. It’s a nice place with a spectacular atmosphere.
Laal Tibba
Concluding the day’s exploration, I ascended to Laal Tibba, the highest point in Mussoorie. The panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks were breathtaking, offering a moment of reflection and awe.
Landour Bakery, Mussoorie
At Landour Bakehouse many of the bakery, desserts, and pudding recipes are from the Landour Cookbook. One can sip on a traditional steaming pot of tea and ponder about the history of this quaint little town while enjoying the views overlooking the majestic snow peaks of the great Himalayan Range through the whispering pines that stand tall.
