My Birthday in Dehradun India was celebrated just one day after my cousin brother’s wedding. After all the wedding excitement and late-night functions, this day felt calm and refreshing. I spent the morning with family, enjoyed a relaxed birthday celebration at home, went out for coffee, and later ended the day with a nice dinner.
Attending a ring ceremony in Dehradun, on 31st October 2025 was full of joy, rituals, and family celebrations. This was my cousin brother’s ring ceremony, held just a day before the wedding. The entire day was spent at Rajpur Heights Hotel, enjoying Mehndi functions, ring exchange, dinner, music, and a lively cocktail party with family
My visit to Shakumbari Devi Temple Near Saharanpur was extra special because it happened on my marriage anniversary. After breakfast, we started our journey with my mother, who especially wanted to visit this temple. It became a meaningful start to our day before heading toward Dehradun.
My First 3 Days in Delhi India were simple, peaceful, and completely family-focused. I didn’t visit any tourist sights during this trip. In November 2023, we embarked on a memorable two-day journey to Rishikesh, India, accompanied by my brother’s family. Situated approximately an hour’s drive from Dehradun, Rishikesh is renowned for its spiritual ambiance, yoga retreats, and the majestic Ganges River.

During my time in Uttarakhand, I visited Nunawala Gurudwara Dehradun, a peaceful Sikh temple where I felt a sense of calm and devotion. After the spiritual visit, I explored the city further and stopped for a meal at Chili’s Dehradun, blending both cultural and modern experiences into my travel story.
Day 5 – Things to do in Dehradun, India
My day began with a visit to Nunawala Gurudwara, a serene Sikh place of worship near Dehradun. The peaceful ambiance and the community’s warmth provided a profound spiritual experience. After the prayers, I partook in the ‘Langar,’ a traditional communal meal offered to all visitors, regardless of background. The simple yet flavorful food was a testament to the Gurudwara’s hospitality.
In November 2023, I returned to my hometown of Dehradun, India, to celebrate Diwali with my family. The festivities began with Choti Diwali, where we adorned our home with traditional decorations and illuminated it with diyas, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness. The vibrant markets of Dehradun were abuzz with activity, offering a plethora of festive items that added to the excitement of the season.

In November 2023, I embarked on a memorable journey to India, with the first two days dedicated to exploring the vibrant city of Delhi. This trip was part of a 10-day adventure that also included visits to Dehradun and Rishikesh, coinciding with the Diwali festival.
From 9th – 18th Nov’23, we traveled to India for 10 days to celebrate Diwali festival. We visited Delhi, Dehradun, and Rishikesh.
