Post Views: 11,010

6th July 2020 / In the evening we visited Itthi Military Base & Sacrificial Monument in Khao Kho, Thailand. Everything was beautiful here.

At Itthi Military Base (Weapon Museum) in Khao Kho, Thailand

You don’t have to be a weapons enthusiast to visit this museum in Khao Kho, Thailand. It’s got artillery and weaponry which was used in previous battles. The area around Khao Kho was once the scene of violent skirmishes between the Royal Thai Army and Communist rebels.

Previously a major army base, Itthi Military Base is today home to an assortment of artillery and weaponry that was used during the battles. There are reconstructed bunkers and planning rooms, giving even more of an understanding of the troubles that plagued this area up until the early 1980s. Admission is just 10 THB

Day 2 – Paying Respect At Wat Phra That Sorn Temple : Khao Kho, Thailand (Jul’20)

Post Views: 10,776

5th July 2020 / Afternoon,  I visited the beautiful Thailand temple “Wat Phra That Sorn” which is around Khao Kho, Thailand. Beautiful temple with a Gorgeous view.

At Wat Phra That Sorn, Khao Kho, Thailand

Modern design and unusual architecture make this mountaintop temple no ordinary Buddhist retreat in Khao Kho. The mountaintop sanctuary, with a preaching hall, pagoda, and surrounding gardens, is a stunning design, one that expresses its architectural youthfulness.

In the hills of north-central Thailand, Wat Pha Sorn Kaew is a Dharma retreat for monks and Buddhist followers. The mountaintop sanctuary, with a preaching hall, pagoda, and surrounding gardens, is a stunning design, one that expresses its architectural youthfulness.

At Sub Lek Reservoir in Lopburi, Thailand

Get to the outskirts of Lopburi town and spend some time at the Ang Sub Lek reservoir. Looked at a few places that were situated some floating on the lake and some beside it. The place is relatively deserted during the weekdays so you will have plenty of peace and quiet.

Day 1 – Exploring Around Monkey Temple In Lopburi : Thailand (Jul’20)

Post Views: 10,885

4th  July 2020 / Walking around Monkey Temple in Lopburi, Thailand. It is called in the Thai language “Phra Prang Sam Yot”

At Phra Prang Sam Yot (Monkey Temple) in Lopburi, Thailand

Despite Lopburi’s significance as an ancient Siam capital, the town would likely fall into obscurity were it not for the monkeys. And by far the most notable historic attraction is Prang Sam Yot an ancient Khmer temple, aka Lopburi Monkey Temple, which is where the monkeys preside. We enjoyed good fun with the monkeys and made a lot of photos. But keep in mind that the monkeys are wild animals and will use their teeth if you try and take back whatever they steal or if they start to slide off you and want to hold on.
