One of the most anticipated activities was shopping for the festival, and there was no better place to experience this than Paltan Bazaar in Dehradun.

On October 20th, 2022, I ventured into the bustling lanes of Paltan Bazaar. The air was filled with the aroma of street food and the sounds of enthusiastic vendors showcasing their products. The shops, adorned with colorful decorations, offered a plethora of items catering to all age groups and preferences.
As I navigated through the crowded streets, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia. The lively environment, coupled with the anticipation of Diwali, brought back cherished memories of past celebrations. I indulged in purchasing traditional attire, sampled local delicacies, and even picked up some handcrafted souvenirs for friends back in Bangkok.
The experience was more than just shopping; it was a reconnection with my roots and a celebration of resilience and hope. Paltan Bazaar, with its rich cultural tapestry, provided the perfect backdrop for rekindling the joy of festivals and the warmth of community bonds.
