Exploring Amer Fort
My first destination was the majestic Amer Fort, situated in the Aravalli ranges. Constructed in the late 16th century by Raja Man Singh I, the fort showcases a blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Wandering through its expansive courtyards and marveling at the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace) was a captivating experience.

Built in the form of Lord Krishna’s crown, this five-story structure features 953 small windows, allowing cool breezes to flow through, keeping the palace airy during summers. The intricate latticework and architectural brilliance left me in awe.

From traditional folk dances like Ghoomar and Kalbeliya to puppet shows, the vibrant performances offered a glimpse into the state’s rich cultural tapestry.
