Day 4 – Exploring Panthéon, Luxembourg Gardens & Eiffel Tower in Paris : France (Sep’26)
A Slow and Relaxing Start to Day 4 in Paris
After several busy days in Paris, we decided to take Day 4 a little easier.
There was no early-morning rush. My wife washed some clothes, we relaxed at our Airbnb and gave ourselves some time to recover from all the walking we had been doing during the previous days.
We finally started our day after lunch to see Panthéon, Luxembourg Gardens & Evening at Eiffel Tower Paris.
Sometimes when travelling, I feel it is important not to turn every day into a checklist of attractions. A slower day gives you time to enjoy the city rather than simply moving from one famous place to another.

Our First Stop – The Panthéon in Paris
Our first destination was the Panthéon.
We spent around one hour here, exploring the building and admiring its impressive architecture.
After finishing our visit, we didn’t have to travel very far for our next stop. Luxembourg Gardens was nearby, so we continued walking in that direction.

A Peaceful Afternoon at Luxembourg Gardens
Luxembourg Gardens became one of the most relaxing parts of our fourth day in Paris.
Instead of quickly walking around and leaving, we spent almost two hours here.
We walked through the garden, found a place to sit and simply watched the surroundings. There was greenery everywhere, people enjoying their afternoon and that peaceful Paris atmosphere that makes you want to slow down.
We clicked some photographs, enjoyed the beauty of the garden and had an ice cream.
It was nothing complicated or planned, but I really enjoyed these couple of hours.
When travelling, I often remember moments like these—the times when you’re not necessarily doing anything special but are simply sitting somewhere beautiful and enjoying where you are.

Visiting Shakespeare and Company & Walking Around the Market
After spending a relaxing couple of hours at Luxembourg Gardens, we continued exploring the area and visited the famous Shakespeare and Company bookstore.
It was another interesting stop during our afternoon in Paris. After visiting the bookstore, we spent some time simply walking around the nearby streets and market area.
I always enjoy this side of travelling too—not only visiting the major attractions, but also walking around local streets, looking at the shops and markets, and experiencing the everyday atmosphere of a city.
After exploring the area for a while, we continued towards the Eiffel Tower, where we planned to spend the rest of our evening.

A Beautiful Evening Around the Eiffel Tower 🗼
After Luxembourg Gardens, we moved towards the Eiffel Tower.
It was still sunny when we reached the area, so there was plenty of daylight left to enjoy.
We spent another two to three hours around the Eiffel Tower, walking, taking photographs and enjoying the view.
The Eiffel Tower is one of those landmarks that everyone has seen countless times in photographs, movies and travel videos. But when you’re actually standing there, it still feels different.
We stayed around the area for quite a while, enjoying the evening atmosphere and the sunlight around Paris.
On this day, however, we didn’t wait until nighttime to see the Eiffel Tower lights.
By then, both of us were feeling a little tired. We had already spent several hours outside and decided there was no need to push ourselves just because we were travelling.
So we headed back towards our Airbnb.

Algerian Dinner Near Our Airbnb
After returning towards our Airbnb, we finished the day with an Algerian dinner nearby.
We ordered couscous with vegetables, along with a white beer.
After spending the afternoon and evening walking through the Panthéon, Luxembourg Gardens and around the Eiffel Tower, sitting down for a warm meal close to our accommodation was exactly what we needed.
It wasn’t a day packed with attractions.
Instead, Day 4 was about slowing down—starting late, sitting in a beautiful garden, eating ice cream, spending a long evening around the Eiffel Tower and finishing with a simple dinner near our Airbnb.
And sometimes, during a long trip, a relaxing day like this is just as important as a busy sightseeing day.
