In January 2022, I had the privilege of visiting Wat Huay Mongkol Temple, located approximately 20 kilometers from Hua Hin City, Thailand. This temple is renowned for housing the world’s largest statue of Luang Phor Thuad, a revered Thai monk known for his miraculous deeds.

This excursion was a testament to Thailand’s burgeoning wine industry, particularly in regions like Hua Hin and Khao Yai, where innovative viticulture practices have flourished despite the tropical climate.

19 January 2020 / Maeklong Railway Market is a popular Thai market selling fresh vegetables, food, and fruit in the province of Samut Songkhram, southwest of Bangkok.
The railway became famous for its route through the Maeklong Railway Market, nicknamed the “umbrella pulldown market”. It is one of the largest fresh seafood markets in Thailand and is centered on the Maeklong Railway’s track. Whenever a train approaches, the awnings and shop fronts are moved back from the rails, to be replaced once the train has passed.

Every trip leaves behind stories, and some cities stay in your heart forever. My visit to Bangkok in 2018 was filled with unforgettable experiences—from exploring famous temples and lively street markets to enjoying authentic Thai food and discovering hidden corners of the city. Looking back at these memories reminds me why Bangkok remains one of my favorite destinations in Southeast Asia and a place I love returning to.
