My Day Trip to Mount Fuji Japan was one of the most peaceful and refreshing days during my Japan journey. I started early morning from Tokyo, heading towards Lake Kawaguchiko to see the iconic Mount Fuji. Although the mountain was covered by clouds, the calm weather, sunshine, and scenic surroundings made it a memorable day.

On the morning of October 9th, we started our journey from Matsumoto to Tokyo aboard the JR Azusa Limited Express bound for Shinjuku Station. The scenic ride took about 2.5 to 3 hours, passing through beautiful countryside views and small towns before the vibrant skyline of Tokyo came into sight. We arrived at Shinjuku around noon.

My Takayama Old Town Japan experience was like stepping into the past. This charming town in the mountains of Gifu Prefecture is famous for its preserved Edo-period streets, wooden houses, and morning markets that give travelers a taste of traditional Japan.
My Gero Onsen Town Japan travel experience was calm and refreshing. Known as one of Japan’s top hot spring towns, Gero Onsen offered me a glimpse into local culture, traditional streets, and relaxing onsen baths that felt like a step back in time.
We left Nagoya after breakfast, checking out of our accommodation and heading toward the station. Our train, the JR Hida limited-express, departed at 10:48 a.m. with reserved seats — a welcome comfort as we settled in for the ride. Roughly 1.5 hours later, at 12:27 p.m., we arrived at Gero Station.

The moment we landed in Nagoya, our hearts felt light — like the start of a new chapter. After months of planning our nine-day Japan route (Bangkok → Nagoya → Gero Onsen → Takayama → Shirakawago → Matsumoto → Kamikochi → Tokyo → Mount Fuji → Bangkok), we were finally here. Nagoya would be our first real taste of Japan’s balance between tradition and modern life.
