It was 2008 when I left my current working place in order to start my own work but despite securing my visa and work permit I was looking for a good company with whom I can work. The only reason to get a visa and work permit was to stay in Thailand. While I had my 5 years of saving with me but still, I have one liability which is to pay car EMI, which I must pay 10,000 to 12,000 Thai Baht every month.

I must look after my personal expenses as well such to hang out, petrol expenses, etc which I have taken from my savings. The new company which I had open I have to bear those expenses as well along with house rent. So, my liabilities were increasing day by day. When I see towards my bank balance after checking all my expenses, I get an overview that if I don’t get any job soon then within a year everything will be over.
For a couple of months, I was trying to get a job by forwarding my resume to the companies, so one day a company from Singapore called me up saying that they had a requirement of salesperson for their Thailand branch but first I have to visit Singapore for the interview and then they will appoint me for that particular branch. I went over there crack the interview and got the job, while they said that they won’t be able to provide my work permit but I said them I had no issues with that, all I want to work with them, one can say that it was not legal nor even illegal.
So, I finally started working with them. I started getting corporate experience, while my company was in a huge building giving me that feel and its name was “Genovate” now daily I use to go office by sky train and for 1-2 months I was enjoying my work, then I felt that I was losing my interest of working over here as it was a new company and there was nothing much to do nor even I was getting anything like what exactly I have to do. I was just going to spend my day and to get a salary that’s it.
I felt from within that their company was not doing well and one day in seven or eight months they said that they will pay my salary to next month. I agreed with them and when next month arrived, they said to me wait for next month, likewise, they spend three to four-month of mine working without salary and my salary use to be 50,000 Thai Baht, so I was under stress that they haven’t paid my four months’ salary which was around 200,000 THB aggregately.
Then they said that they are winding up the company and will pay my salary later, I started arguing with them, but I was helpless as I don’t have a visa and work permit from their side. So, every day I use to call them, but no one received my call as the office was on, but it was at the edge of getting close. Finally, I got angry at them and I straightway went to the Labour department of Thailand to complain against them about my situation.

The labor department sends a notice to the relevant company and they got frightened with that and at last paid my salary, which makes me feel relieved that I finally got my salary. At least I have a certain amount from which I can find another job, frankly, saying I didn’t enjoy working in this company in 2008. I hang out at few local places in Thailand, it was good and refreshing and the place name was Siam Ancient City, June 2008 and in December 2008 I had my new year party as well, one can check the picture on my blog.

While I started going to the gym in order to maintain my fitness, as the gym was near to my house, while totally left this current company and started looking after for job while getting one company from India whose office was in Thailand, they also did not provide me any visa or work permit yet I started working with them in 2009.

I worked over there for four months and after that, they also wind up the company saying that their company is not working well. That was sad news for me, and a struggle life was going on like I was working or getting work but still a stable work I was not getting.
Till mid-2009 I worked with them and I use to keep traveling as well, you can see my blog for that. Almost one and a half year passed away and still, I was facing language issue so decided to join Thai school in order to learn the Thai language in 2009. I started going to school for 3-4 hours to learn the Thai language and then back home, while at home I use to work on my traveling website which is “MVM Travel.com” and side by side use to build some website for myself, as I was not interested in working anymore because of past experience of both the companies.
I have one more portal named “Behind city.com” which I use to run in India also. I planned to do online business just like an entrepreneur and after the mid of 2009, I divert my all focus on my online business while sitting at home. On another side my car installment was about to get over as it was for 5 years EMI I must pay and now only one year was remaining, while I had enough account balance to bear the expenses for further months. I gave my 100% on my online business and use to execute the new ideas on it, a small amount of income getting generated, from which my rent expense, food expense, monthly expenses can be handle.
In 2010 I went out for a vacation in Bangkok only, which was an adventure Trip to Somsak Mining in Nov’2010. Located in Dist. Thong Pha Pom, Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand. I keep working on my travel portal, one thing was like I was not getting enough money despite that I was crazily working on that for one and a half years. Now in 2011, I was still working on my travel portal and 2 years passes away working on it, from which I was just getting a certain amount of money to bear my daily expenses.
I even visit India during that year, spend a good time with my family and one can see that after leaving my old job I could not able to stabilize myself since four years passes away. Precisely saying that I was just working on my portal the whole of 2011 and didn’t get any job, while honestly saying I was unable to set in my life now, even my bank balance was getting down. There was no progress in that phase of my life and life was getting dull and my career growth got stopover here. This was the down period of my life and with this, I am ending this story over here. Today I am going to describe my life phase in 2006, everything was going on as usual and we were at the end of 2006, our company (my boss company & IT department) started facing various issues because of which losses incurred.
My boss’s company was facing some problems which include the salary of all employees, company expenses, etc. so he started filtering a few activities and stop them which include a change in the office location. But before I proceed ahead, I would like to tell you about my dream to have a car, whenever I earn enough money and that was of the black color car of Honda city.
In 2005 I buy a car of Honda city brand and that was in black color I bought it on EMI as the budget was not that much sufficient but I wanted to complete my this dream, that makes me feel so good that I have a home, car for which people struggle a lot in their life. One thing was that I don’t know how to drive a car, so when I bought it, I use to learn it near my apartment as there was a small circle kind of spacious place was there.
Every day I use to do the practice driving and when I got a little confidence in it, so I took the car on the main street. It takes one month for me to learn car driving as though it was an automatic car. Then I pass my driving test and got the license and started enjoying it in my initial stage, Thailand driving was of a different style so need to practice on that as well. I felt one kind of achievement by doing that in 2005.
Now coming back to our company issues because of which location also got changed but I was staying in the same flat which was near to the previous location. Because of all these company problems, differences between me and the boss started taking place. As he wanted me to help him with him his work, but I use to refuse it by saying that I want to work in the IT field only.
In order to reduce the expenses, we started removing a few of our employees in India and make them work on our other work related to the construction work of our parent business. My IT work was getting less day by day, and I don’t understand what to do next, 2006 first time I got the thought of searching new job but at another side, I was getting a thought that will it be right as this was a person who helps me a lot in almost everything and considered me just like a family member for 4 years.
If I continue working with him so my field will get change from IT, which I don’t want to do. The first thing that I did was to change my living place as it was out of city area, the second problem I was facing was that room, it was too small and third problem was my increasing weight because of consumption of junk foods, so I was looking for such place where nearby there was a park or any gym is available. It will help me to bring change in my daily routine and to work upon myself by getting out of my comfort zone.
Finally, I got a society where I got tenement of one room, hall, and kitchen, it was far better than previous one, no doubt it was bit expensive, and even my living standard was also get improved over here, so nowadays I use to go office in my car as it takes near half an hour of time to reach there. Every day I was going to the office but not with the same excitement of working as it was in my previous days of 4 years.

It seems like a burden for me and a distance was taking place between me and my boss like I don’t understand that he wants me to work in the company or not, such thoughts started taking place in my mind. because of this, I started applying for the job to other companies in an indirect way.
I rented 2 rooms condominium in Bangkok before I was staying in the studio apartment.
I started getting a few calls for an interview, so in the evening I use to go for my interview, but this was not known by my boss, as it was my personal stuff. I remember that in December 2006 I again visit India to meet my team working over there and went out with my family at Agra, Dhanaulti and Dehradun. It was a good time to spend with family; one can check the pictures on my blog.

Now begin 2007 and I was still working with them as I wasn’t getting any proper job nor even getting any option. For a foreigner to get a job in Thailand was a tough task along with work one must take a work permit stamp on the passport, which was tough that any other company would do for you as my boss did for me.
And if I left this job then I must leave the country also, so I was feeling screwed up between these two things. Thinking this and working as usual time flies away and I was working at the same place in Thailand where I was working, nothing changes. By the end of 2007, I decided to do something as I cannot handle this anymore. I decided to open my own company but before that, I must make sure that my visa gets secured by my company and work permit comes to my company under, then after I will leave my current job.

This was my plan and I exactly follow my plan, while at the end of 2007 I open a company named “MVM Infotech” and linked my visa & work permit with a new company. Finally, after doing this I resigned from my current job till the end of 2007. From this year of 2007 my all previous lifestyle comfort zone, everything got over and a new struggle was about to begin from the new year.
While I would like to tell you that I have learned a lot from my previous company and from my boss, he was a very kind and helpful person, supported in every way he can, I am very much thankful to him. I gain a lot of experience from every company wherever I have worked from 2003 to 2007. This was the end of my story. I hope it was inspiring and you like it!
It was 2004, I started living my dream life from this year. I visited the beach in Pattaya city, which was near Bangkok. Pattaya is a town on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast famous for its beaches. The area also highlights numerous designer golf courses, amazing with views of Pattaya Bay. First time I experience and feel the beach vibes because this was the only beach near Bangkok, so the first time I went to Pattaya for the holidays.

Then after in 2004 only I did another trip towards Cambodia, Phnom Penh is the energetic bustling capital of Cambodia. Located at the junction of three rivers, the magnificent Mekong, the Bassac, plus the great Tonle Sap, which has once acknowledged the ‘Gem’ of Indochina. The capital town still manages significant charm with lots to see. It emits a sort of unpolished charm including tranquillity with French colonial mansions plus tree-lined streets amidst monumental Angkorian architecture.

Phnom Penh is a genuine oasis connected to the modernity of different Asian capitals. It was a blend of Asian exotica; the renowned Cambodian bountifulness awaits the visitants to the capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Angkor Wat was first a Hindu, then subsequently a Buddhist, temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world. Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. It was my third country I visited like I was in Thailand, done with Vietnam and then Cambodia.

I had my wish list in which traveling to different places was one of them, it was already started from here. I felt good that I explore one more country and another side we were getting small new projects for our work because of marketing. I also visited Laos where I explore three new places names Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng, and Vientiane, these are three places that I explore and enjoyed traveling over there. This was my first trip to Laos in Dec’2004 and I spend my new year’s holidays in Laos. I still remember all the memories. A total of four countries I explore in 2004. Likewise, this 2004 flies away.

We started working with more focus and try to get more projects, while I also make sure that my team in India work properly and provide the exact output which was expected of them. Now in 2005, I started visiting Vietnam frequently in order to keep an eye on the market of Vietnam along with Thailand. Every month my tour to Vietnam was fixed and use to stay for a week over there.
I must have visited Saigon, Vietnam around 25 times, so we executed numerous projects from Vietnam as well as from Thailand. The company was working well and we were able to bear our expenses as well but along with my responsibilities the liabilities were also increasing such as I have to look after all the expenses including rent, the salary of the employees, their expenses, my salary, and other expenses.
In short, I can say that my boss wants me to handle my division/department just like the owner of the company. He hands over me all over the IT department because of which I got to learn numerous things from that experience. While in February 2005, I visit a local place named Baiyoke Tower, Bangkok: Thailand, and then in April 2005 I fly to Singapore, which was the fifth country I traveled.

During April month there were holidays in Thailand, so I thought of spending my vacation there. Again, I get back to Pattaya in October 2005, while in December 2005, I went to India to attend my brother’s marriage, it was my second visit to India. I enjoyed all the marriage functions a lot and 2005 also flies away.

Since 2003, I was staying in Thailand and it was almost 3 years by the time of 2005, still, I was not familiar with their Thai language, while resting of the stuff including culture and all I got it. The only problem I was facing was the Thai language, I observed that I don’t have the interest in learning that language as my boss has kept one teacher also. Who was going to teach all the employees the Thai language after office hour gets over.

I was totally not interested in learning that language because I was not getting any need to leaning the Thai language, instead I complete my work and went back home. Only this was the challenge for me in life for which I was least interested to overcome.
I still remember that I went to Malaysia in 2005 as my boss suggested I spend my vacation there. While that was my first trip to Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Genting Highland (Apr’05): Malaysia. I enjoyed it a lot over there, to get the details and pictures of these places kindly check my blog, you will get to know how beautiful all places were, and it was fun for me by experiencing life’s surprises. Today I am going to tell you how my job life was going on in Bangkok, everything seems to be so positive and happening for me. As I said in my previous chapter I finally, I got a non-immigrate visa along with a work permit and of one-year visa which I got within one month of my working only. It made me happy. Furthermore, my work was going well as I was the only person who belongs to the IT field and gave a good outstanding performance which makes them happy.
Slowly and steadily I started talking to people over there and made few friends as well and the nature of my boss was very good, he uses to take me out and guide me on how to stay over here, what to eat? where to eat? etc which makes me feel a bit homely. My colleagues were also helpful to me and of friendly nature, they use to take me out for lunch at a restaurant and exactly know what I should eat, so they order on my behalf as they know that I am vegetarian and they know the Thai language as well.
Now my life uses to revolve around them only as I use to have my breakfast at home, lunch, and dinner with my colleagues, and then after I went back home at around 7 or 8 pm. I don’t have any other work after I am done with my office work, so use to enjoy my life without any barrier of time or anything else. Kind of enjoying my dream life over here and then I called up at home and informed them about all the situations that happen plus told them that I will be visiting home soon within this one year. By listening to everything firstly they got surprised that I went for a month and now I will be staying for a year but they happy for me as I told them not to worry, I got a good job and a good salary as well. So, they were supporting me in my decision and ask me to visit once a year at least.
Now I was staying far away from the company, so my boss asks me to come nearby as it will save a lot of my traveling time. My boss told me that he will help me out to search for an apartment nearby and help me out with necessities such as a refrigerator, television, etc. surrounding my company there were many apartments that were thereof one room along with the affordable rate.
They showed me one room with an attached bathroom which was just 100 meters away from my office and the room consist of a sofa, bed and dressing table and the owner charge three thousand Thai Baht/ month for the room, while my boss told me that he will pay for the first month and also purchase a refrigerator, television along with one table chair and a bread toaster as well, just to help me out for my basic necessities and this shows how kind they all were, I was feeling blesses at that point of time.
So, I finally signed the contract and the owner of the flat ask me to come and stay from Monday anytime. After that, I went out for some shopping along with my colleagues to purchase few things, at last, I was happy that I got a nice flat near to my office and moved on to that one weekend along with my stuff. From Monday while going to the office I don’t have to worry about traveling time and all, which makes me a bit relax as my office was within walking distance from my flat it takes few minutes to reach.
On Monday I was getting a feeling that I have my own apartment along with few basic amenities but on television, the English Channel was not available only Thai language channels were there, while for washing clothes I have to hand over my dirty clothes downside in the apartment to the service person. One cannot ask for more than this in an out of the country. My boss and I have a good family kind of connection or personal touch you can say, so he asked me about all is set or anything else was required to me, he uses to take care of me nicely and I like that as well.
Likewise, the second and third month went away, and I went late sometime home as it was nearby only just to complete my office work, that makes my boss appreciate. Every day I use to experience something new whenever I use to go to a new place when I meet new people, a new restaurant, etc as for me everything was new in this country as I have never explored Bangkok before and it was the first time for me. I don’t go out, so my colleagues use to take me out and help me to explore this place.
I was feeling blessed as was getting a good salary and saved a good amount of money, as mostly I had my lunch and dinner from their side only and I only must pay two to three thousand Thai baht fir rent while rest were saved only. After a few months, I ask them to open my bank account and they help me out with that as well, while I started crediting my salary in that account. Finally, the starting of my life was set almost along with everything one required and a kind of stability was there in my life.
