If Day 1 in Chanthaburi was about discovering the old town charm, Day 2 was all about stepping outside the city and connecting with nature. From peaceful temples hidden in local villages to stunning waterfalls deep inside the forest, this day turned into a perfect mix of spirituality, adventure, and scenic drives.

Wat Khao Banchob Temple

Drove around 40 KM from Chanthaburi. Happy Thai new year to everyone.

Unlike flat city temples, Wat Khao Banchob sits on elevated terrain.

You’ll climb steps surrounded by greenery

The higher you go, the quieter it gets

At the top, you get open views of the countryside

It’s not a tough climb—but enough to feel rewarding

Namtok Phlio National Park

Chasing Cool Breezes in the Summer Heat. Well known waterfall and national park near Chanthaburi, Thailand.

The waterfall itself is not very tall, but what makes it special is:

Crystal clear water

Smooth rocks and shallow pools

Hundreds of fish swimming around you

Yes—you can literally sit in the water and fish will come around your feet. It’s one of those small but memorable experiences.

Coffee & Dinner

Evening Walking around Chanthaburi old town

The old town—locally called the Chanthaboon Waterfront Community—sits along the river in Chanthaburi.

It’s known for:

Wooden riverside houses

Narrow streets with cafés and local shops

A mix of Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese influencesUnlike tourist-heavy areas, this place still feels like a real neighborhood, not a staged attraction.
