One day trip to golden rock (Kyaiktiyo Pagoda). This place is located in Kyaiktiyo city in Mon state. Started trip early morning 7 am and finished around 9 PM. Its about 4-5 hours travel from Yangon and then 45 min. travel to Pagoda by bus. During the trip passed by World War 2 memorial as well. During return from gold pagoda we passed by Bago city and seen famous reclined Buddha temple as well.
I traveled Myanmar first time from 10th Aug – 12 Aug 2018. During this short trip I visited Yangon first day. This city is now converting to modern city. Traveled around the city, night market, Scott market, old building, church & well know Last King of India (Bahadur Shah Jafar Tomb), Inle Lake and Shwedagon Pagoda.
Started the hike in morning 9 am and finished 4 pm. It’s difficult and dangerous hike during rain. Paro Taktsang also known as the Taktsang Palphug Monastery and the Tiger’s Nest ,is a prominent Himalayan Buddhist sacred site and the temple complex is located in the cliff side of the upper Paro valley in Bhutan.
Punakha was the capital of Bhutan until the 1960’s, and still retains the serene atmosphere of a place with a regal past. The dzong is the main attraction, but there are also other sites of interest in and around this pleasant little town. Along with Paro and Jakar, Punakha completes the triangle of most popular tourist destinations.
Majestically standing on an island between the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, the city’s dzong is one of the most photogenic of all Bhutan’s ancient fortresses, and you will see pictures of it hanging in hotels and restaurants throughout the country. The dzong is joined to the mainland by an arched wooden bridge, and contains many precious relics from the days when successive kings reigned the kingdom from this valley. The dzong serves as the winter home of the monastic body.
