On January 2, 2021, I embarked on a memorable journey to Phi Phi Island, departing early from Phuket and arriving around lunchtime. The day was filled with breathtaking sights, cultural landmarks, and unforgettable experiences.
Arrival at Ton Sai Beach
Upon reaching Phi Phi Island, I disembarked at Ton Sai Beach, the main entry point to the island. The beach was bustling with activity, offering a glimpse into the vibrant life of the island.
Viking Cave: A Glimpse into History
My next stop was the Viking Cave, a significant historical site on the island. The cave is renowned for its ancient paintings and its role in the harvesting of bird’s nests, a delicacy in Thai cuisine. While access to the cave is restricted, the surrounding area offers stunning views of the turquoise waters and limestone cliffs.
